Hi, I’m Elisa
THE DESIGNER AT GOLDEN ROOT ARCHITECTRE
With a degree in architecture and several years of industry experience across residential design and development, I started Golden Root to create a practice that makes room for ideas beyond the conventional.
I grew up in an apartment in Italy, with no garden of my own. Today, my partner and I live in a transportable, fully off-grid tiny house that I designed and we built together, surrounded by edible gardens and an orchard we've developed on leased land.
Moving between these very different ways of living has been a valuable learning experience in itself. My tiny house is an ongoing experiment in what architecture can do and how thoughtful design can transform the way we experience space.
Working within its unique constraints has challenged me to rethink conventional approaches to comfort, functionality, resource use and our relationship with the spaces we inhabit.
These lessons extend far beyond tiny homes, informing my approach to every project, whatever its scale or style. They shape how I question assumptions, explore possibilities and make thoughtful design decisions.
Golden Root Architecture brings together professional experience, hands-on experimentation and a willingness to do things differently.
Values I stand by
Living in balance
Designing homes that connect with nature, support wellbeing and respond to the way we want to live.
Room to be yourself
No two people live the same way. Your home should work for you, not force you into a particular way of living.
Sustainability is for everyone
It’s not a look, a lifestyle stereotype or an all-or-nothing choice. There's more than one way to make a difference.
